As Geographic Information System users know, GIS technology touches everyone’s lives daily to solve problems related to many areas. During the 20th annual Coastal Bend GIS Day, “How GIS Can Help Your Industry or Business,” professionals already in the field can attend seminars and workshops specifically designed to expand their skills using Geospatial technology applications in the workplace or even as hobbyists This professional development opportunity features experts covering Geomatics, GIS, Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Geosciences in fields such as energy exploration, geology, agriculture, land and wildlife management, civil engineering, surveying, transportation, utilities, videography and many more. And, GIS Day is a great time to network with other GIS technology users. The 2018 Coastal Bend GIS Day is free and co-sponsored by Del Mar College, Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, Coastal Bend College, Laredo Community College, the Lone Star UAS Center of Excellence & Innovation, the Unmanned Aircraft Systems Technology Educational Consortium (UASTEC) and the DMC Small Business Development Center.
